MEALS

Food seems to be an important part of a guest's stay at the monastery, and we do our best to accommodate everyone. However, because we are a monastery and due to our limited resources, it is not always possible to meet a guest's specific dietary needs. We thank you in advance for your understanding. Please, no last minute requests.

Our kitchen manager and main cook Susan, continues to research recipes and be creative in the food preparation.

Our breakfast is continental style, with a choice of cereals, (hot oatmeal in winter), yogurt, fresh fruit, cottage cheese, a selection of breads (home-made as often as possible), fruit juices and coffee.

Lunch is our main meal of the day. This is always a hot cooked meal with a salad bar. The menu varies daily, our meals are simple yet satisfying. Wednesday is vegetarian day and we always have fish on Friday. Fresh fruit is available.

Supper is the light meal of the day. We offer a home-made soup, fresh bread, cheese and a salad bar. Fresh fruit is available.
