Be a Volunteer!
Our volunteer season has now come to an end, and we thank all of you who gave of your time and energy. May the Lord reward you.
Approved volunteers can stay from two weeks and up to one month.
References, work history and a CBC (Criminal Background Check) are required by all applicants, and all applications are subject to approval by our Volunteer Committee. Please submit your application early because we limit the number of volunteers that come at any given time.
Work duties vary based on the persons experience and ability - some work areas are:
Work in the gardens, pruning, mowing etc.
Kitchen duties, light cleaning, dishwashing.
Guest house cleaning.
General maintenance/painting/electrical.
Computer skills - general office work.
We try to make sure a volunteer feels comfortable and finds reward in whatever work is assigned.
Volunteers do not receive any financial renumeration but do receive room and board. You would be required to sign a volunteer waiver form releasing the monastery of any liability should you have an accident while volunteering here.
You are responsible for having your own vehicle, vehicle insurance and medical insurance coverage.
Application forms with all required documentation as stated, must be received for approval ahead of arrival.
