Reduced Pricing Offered to Guests
Times are still tough for many - food prices are high, gas is high, airline tickets are high. We’re high…that is - at an elevation of 7,000 feet above sea level! And the Pecos valley is beautiful as nature comes back to life after the long cold winter.
I know it’s not easy making ends meet - planning that much needed getaway or retreat with us here at the Abbey. It takes a lot of effort to get here - we know that. But you need time away. You need time away from the busy world to rest and restore. To switch off and relax at this beautiful spot in the Pecos wilderness. Fish, hike, paint, journal…just stop for a while! Join us for prayer in our newly remodeled monastic chapel. Feel the presence - all are welcome to this holy ground. And I personally want to help you.
We appreciate all our guests, so we are rolling back the cost of staying with us on your next retreat to pre-Pandemic prices.
We are pleased to offer reduced room rates for our Guest House and Hermitage rooms. Each room comes with a private bath. The Hermitage rooms also include a small kitchenette. Each reduced rate includes our meal plan. That’s cheaper than some motels in town - and you have food too! How can you beat that!
You can stay in our Guest House (29 rooms), or a Hermitage (there are four). Want to bring your family, or a group of friends? No problem. Groups of six can stay in the cozy Jericho House, a few minutes walk from the main building. Listen to the river as you drift off to sleep after a lazy day. Wake to the birds singing their own morning praise.
Larger groups can stay in the Tolomei Center which has 19 rooms all with private bathrooms. Bring your own cook and use the kitchen to prepare your food if you would like. Tolomei has a small meeting room, a coffee room, laundry room, a comfortable living room with windows facing the meadow. A small patio with rocking chairs for you to relax and meditate on the quiet beauty of nature.
We have a special group rate to stay in Tolomei. Ask the reservations office when you call. The Abbot, monks and Sr. Helen look forward to seeing you. And remember…we’ll be praying you in, and if you’re arriving late - ’we leave the light on for you’!
